Job description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff (AC/S) G-6, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Europe and Africa (MARFOREUR/AF) in Boeblingen, Germany.

You will make major decisions and commitments unilaterally concerning the G-6 mission and operation.

You will serve on policy boards, groups and committees, and are authorized to represent the G-6 Division to high-ranking officials both within and outside of the Command.

You will advise staff in matters such as: C4, Key Management Infrastructure; Communications-Electronic Maintenance; Information Security; Information Technology modernization, Cybersecurity, and coalition networks.

You will provide executive management and supervision to plan, coordinate, review, and monitor all operational and contingency plans.

You will coordinate with Defense and Naval Agencies as required. This responsibility includes technical oversight and technical expertise for DOD C2/C4 systems and networks

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes: 1. Provides executive management and supervision to plan, coordinate, review, and monitor all operational and contingency plans involving C4, C4 Engineering, Information Technology modernization & procurement, Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and Communications Security (COMSEC) keymat, Information Assurance (IA), Information Security (INFOSEC), MCEN Secure (SIPRNET) and Non-Secure Internet Protocol Routing Networks (NIPRNET) and coalition networks. 2. Provides guidance, direction, and supervision regarding budgeting matters including the (five-year) Future Years Defense Program, Program Objective Memorandum (FYDP POM) reviews with the command, submission of all unfunded requests supporting Mid and End of year shortfalls, review, annual training, travel, and IT budget. 3. Supervises, advises, and provides subject matter expertise on asset management for the command and its subordinate units to ensure a 100% command IT inventory, for establishing SOP/procedures or managing IT assets, and for the accountability of all IT assets. 4. Exercises the full range of supervisory and managerial authorities for civilian personnel, officer and enlisted personnel, and assigned Reserve Officers. 5. Provides technical, administrative and executive level supervision and oversees the activities of the entire Division, which includes four sections (Operations, Cybersecurity, KMI and Information Management) and leads a skilled and diverse workforce to support of exercises, operations, and contingencies.
