SecurityTalent Legal
Terms of Service
These terms govern access to SecurityTalent.com and participation in its professional network, careers, knowledge, community, marketplace and membership services.
Last updated: July 18, 2026
1. Agreement and operator
SecurityTalent.com (the “Site”) is operated by Security Talent LLC (“SecurityTalent,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site or related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a binding agreement. Account information must be accurate and current. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. We may review, restrict or remove duplicate, fraudulent, misleading, inactive or policy-violating accounts.
3. What SecurityTalent provides
SecurityTalent provides professional networking, community, career, knowledge, event, marketplace, verification and membership tools. We are not an employer, staffing agency, certification body, training accreditor, escrow service or guarantor of a member, job, credential, product or outcome unless a separate written agreement expressly says otherwise.
Certification guides and change alerts are educational summaries. Requirements, fees, exam policies and renewal rules must be confirmed with the official issuing body. Cybersecurity news may summarize and link to original reporting; third-party publishers retain rights in their work.
4. Memberships, founding offers and paid services
Plan descriptions, eligibility, price, billing period and included features displayed at purchase form part of these Terms. A lifetime or founding membership applies to the eligible account and included services identified in the offer; it does not guarantee that every present or future paid product is included. Founding offers may be limited by time, capacity, profile type, verification or other disclosed criteria.
Recurring subscriptions renew at the disclosed interval until canceled. You authorize our payment processor to charge the selected payment method for the amount shown, including applicable taxes. Cancel before renewal to prevent the next charge. Unless required by law or stated in the plan, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not prorated. We may correct pricing errors, reject suspected fraud and change future pricing with advance notice; changes do not retroactively alter a completed billing period.
5. Profiles, verification and organization authority
You may not misrepresent identity, experience, credentials, employment, organization affiliation, authorization or ownership. Verification reflects review of specified evidence at a point in time and is not an endorsement, background check, warranty of skill or guarantee of future conduct. Organization users represent that they are authorized to act for the organization and publish its information.
6. Your content and license
You retain ownership of original content you submit. You grant SecurityTalent a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, translate, display, distribute and promote that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, improve and promote the Services. The license ends when content is deleted except for reasonable backups, legal retention, content shared by others or material needed to preserve community context.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions required to submit content and that it does not violate law, confidentiality, privacy, intellectual property or another person's rights. Do not upload sensitive information that is unnecessary for the intended feature.
7. Community and acceptable-use rules
You may not use the Services to:
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit or impersonate another person.
- Publish unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, sexually exploitative or intentionally harmful content.
- Post credential dumps, stolen data, malicious code, exploit instructions intended to facilitate unlawful harm, or confidential security information without authorization.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity or contractual rights.
- Spam, scrape, harvest personal information, operate unauthorized bots, manipulate engagement or evade access controls.
- Probe, attack, disrupt or attempt unauthorized access to the Site or another user's systems.
- Use job, marketplace or messaging features for scams, unlawful discrimination, deceptive recruiting or unauthorized commercial solicitation.
Good-faith defensive security education, responsible vulnerability discussion and legitimate research remain welcome when lawful, authorized and presented responsibly.
8. Moderation and enforcement
We may investigate reports; reduce distribution; remove content; revoke verification; restrict features; suspend or terminate accounts; preserve evidence; and report conduct where reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users or others. Enforcement decisions may consider context, severity, history and risk. We are not obligated to monitor every submission and cannot guarantee removal of all objectionable content.
9. Intellectual property and notices
The Site software, design, branding and original editorial material are owned by or licensed to SecurityTalent and protected by law. You may link to public pages fairly and lawfully but may not imply endorsement, frame the Site deceptively or reproduce substantial content without permission. Intellectual-property concerns should identify the protected work, the challenged material, contact information and a good-faith basis for the request.
10. Third-party services
The Services may integrate with or link to employers, publishers, certification bodies, payment processors, social-login providers and other third parties. We do not control their content, availability, security or practices. Your dealings with them are governed by their terms and are at your own risk.
11. Availability, disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, job placement, candidate quality, business results, certification success or accuracy of third-party information.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecurityTalent and its officers, employees and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity arising from the Services. Our aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid SecurityTalent during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify SecurityTalent from third-party claims arising from your content, your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms or your infringement of another person's rights. We will provide reasonable notice and may control the defense of a covered claim.
13. Termination and data
You may stop using the Services or request account closure. We may suspend or terminate access for violation, legal or security risk, prolonged inactivity or discontinuation of a Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, licenses already relied upon, disclaimers, liability limits and dispute terms—remain effective. Maintain your own copies of important content; restoration of deleted data is not guaranteed.
14. Changes
We may modify the Services and these Terms. The current date appears above. Material changes may be communicated through the Site or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where law requires additional consent.
15. Governing law and general terms
These Terms are governed by Florida law and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Florida will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the Services.
