This position serves as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN), located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, Cybersecurity Services Staff, Information Assurance Directorate, Vulnerability & Mitigation Branch in Washington, DC.
The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN) GS-2210-15 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Oversees technical and administrative oversight to a team of IT Specialists. Leads development and execution of strategic cybersecurity plans supporting audits, assessments, and compliance initiatives. Oversee security authorization activities, security documentation, continuous monitoring, auditing, and compliance reporting. Researches emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices to improve organizational security posture. Tracks, analyzes, and reports cybersecurity incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance metrics to leadership.
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN), at GS-2210-15, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-15 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Leading or managing enterprise cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability management, risk management, and/or continuity programs. AND Developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and strategies. AND/OR Conducting security assessments. You MUST meet all qualification requirements by the 08/10/2026 of this announcement.
