You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) in the Helicopter Sea Combat Wing, at Naval Air Station, North Island, San Diego, CA.
You will plan, coordinate, and implement information system security, including security measures for all computers, electronic storage devices, and communication systems.
You will serve as manager and technical advisor on all areas of information system security.
You will recommend courses of action and policies to senior management to securely meet organizational goals.
You will oversee the certification and accreditation of all information systems and facilities.
You will ensure information security programs are implemented through development and promulgation of notices, policies, procedures, training, and awareness programs.
You will develop risk mitigation programs, action plans and budgets to address risks identified during assessments and audits.
You will develop and maintain strategic plans, develop local policy and guidance to govern IT activities.
You will serve as the Systems Administration by managing classified and unclassified accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing IT and control systems programs to assess overall compliance with cybersecurity plans, policies, and alignment with business and mission requirements; 2) Maintaining an organization's cybersecurity program that includes cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives, policies, cybersecurity personnel, and cybersecurity processes and procedures; 3) Providing assistance in drafting, modifying, and maintaining an organization's core cybersecurity policies; and 4) Tracking and performing cybersecurity related tasks associated with assessment and authorization activities for IT and control systems in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
