Responsibilities:
Lead the development and delivery of services in the following areas:
o Cyber security strategy and governance assessments
o Cyber security risk assessments
o Industry benchmarking
o Third party assurance
o Process reviews, focused on cyber security and privacy implications (e.g., vulnerability management, disaster recovery, incident response, data protection)
o Technical assessments (e.g., wireless security, remote access, mobile device management, change and configuration management)
o Compliance testing with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks
o Continuous monitoring, identity and access management, application security, cloud security
Serve as a key leader in our practice by:
o Providing input on strategic direction
o Recruiting and cultivating talent
o Guiding the use of methodologies and frameworks
o Supporting business development efforts in new and existing clients
Plan and lead client engagements by:
o Understanding the client’s needs
o Developing a corresponding scope and approach
o Organizing and providing oversight of a team
o Leading fieldwork and reporting
o Providing quality assurance for deliverables
o Identifying and addressing issues before they manifest
  • Manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects including planning engagements, developing
budgets, monitoring against progress, performing quality control of deliverables, and delivering on
schedule
  • Develop and manage client relationships by understanding their business, listening to their needs, and
ensuring responsive service and exceptional quality
  • Manage teams by guiding performance against objectives, creating an atmosphere of trust and
collaboration, modeling, leadership behaviors and encouraging continuous improvement and
innovation
  • Sponsor internal committees, working groups, and special projects focused on developing the firm and
Risk & Compliance practice, such as recruiting, business development, marketing, and knowledge
sharing
  • Lead coaching family by serving as a role model, coach, mentor and liaison to senior leadership

Ideal skills and qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional services experience leading complex engagements at a consulting firm, or combination of consulting and corporate
  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in management information systems (MIS), computer information systems (CIS), accounting information systems (AIS), accounting, business, or other technical discipline
  • One or more certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CEH, CISM, CIPT, CPA, or CIA
  • Extensive expertise working with risks and internal controls, including IT audit, IT compliance, or IT consulting
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000 series, NIST 800 series, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, COBIT, PCI-DSS)
  • Strong understanding of the components of a comprehensive security program, including governance, policy, organizational design, awareness and training, architecture, technologies, processes, and controls
  • Knowledge and experience with security audit controls and securing/hardening procedures for various infrastructure layers (e.g., operating systems, servers, databases, networks, applications)
  • Business acumen with a strong understanding of cybersecurity tools and solutions
  • Success in building and developing strong client relationships
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including comfort with executive audiences
  • Strong networking skills and experience with business development
  • Proven record of recruiting and cultivating top talent
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a “big picture” perspective
  • Creativity, confidence, and flexibility
